Staff members are reminded that, as stated in the Standards of Conduct for the International Civil Service:

· International civil servants are responsible for exercising discretion in all matters of official business.

· They must not divulge confidential information without authorization.

· Nor should international civil servants use information that has not been made public and is known to them by virtue of their official position to private advantage.

· The above are obligations that do not cease upon separation from service.
